As there are already two umpiring courses running in Middlesex in January, PHC Chiswick will not be running our own course. Instead we are asking our umpires, players and parents to get involved in one of these two upcoming Level 1 umpire courses in Middlesex.

Umpires who have taken the course get paid £10 per game and get fantasy points. Once you've taken the course, the club will give you games to umpire, starting easy and then getting more challenging the better you get as an umpire. You will have umpire coaches for the first few games you do and will be supported by me and the umpire coordinators throughout your games. Please do book onto one of the courses, and do so ahead of the deadline as both middlesex courses which did go ahead were fully booked at least a week before the deadline.

We have some matches coming up for all age groups. Please take a look at the dates and times for your child's group and let us know ([email protected]) as soon as possible if your child is available to play in the matches for their group.
Blue team playing shirts will be provided, but if possible children should have royal blue socks and navy or black skirt/skort/shorts (or leggings/tracksuit bottoms if it's cold). Middle group ( 2 x 7 a-side mixed teams) Sunday November 27th Meet at 10am, matches 10.30am - 12noon West Hampstead Hockey Club (vs. West Hampstead, Eastcote, Hampstead & Westminster) Whitefields School, Claremont Road, NW2 1TR There will be no training for the middle group at PHC Chiswick on Sunday November 27th. Oldest group (1 x 11 a-side mixed team) Priority will be given to those aged 12 and over who aren't eligible to play in the U12s girls team Sunday November 27th Meet at 11.00, match from 11.30am - 1pm PHC Chiswick (vs. PHC Chiswick Ladies 6s/7s) Boddington Gardens, W3 9AP There will be training from 10 - 11.15am for those players in the oldest group who are not playing in the match. Oldest group (1 x 7 a-side girls team) 10 and 11 year old girls Sunday December 11th Meet at 9.45am, matches from 10.15am - 12noon Wimbledon Hockey Club (vs Wimbledon and Tulse Hill) Kings College School, KT3 6JA There will be no training for any groups at PHC Chiswick on this Sunday.  After a successful first season of fantasy hockey at Chiswick, it's back again for another season. With the season fast approaching make sure to get your team in by the 16th September. Used to play hockey and want to have another go? Inspired by the beautiful hockey being played at the Olympics? Then now is the time you should have a go yourself!! PHC Chiswick are running a free 1 hour beginners taster session for both women and men aimed at teaching basic hockey skills, playing a few small friendly matches and introducing you to the hockey club. The hockey season starts in September so if you enjoy it, you can continue with us to perfect your newly learned skills! We’ve got sticks you can borrow if you need. This year PHC Chiswick are doing something different with training to offer our players a better experience.
This year, training nights will be split into Skills and Drills on one night and Game Practice on the other, with everyone invited to both.

PHC Chiswick is an ambitious, sociable and welcoming club, based in West London with 120 years history. We run 6 ladies, 5 men’s teams and a growing junior section. We are looking to recruit the following: i) Director of Coaching - This would be a hands on coaching role to oversee coaching throughout the club, setting and developing the coaching programme focused on coach development and creating a player pathway for junior hockey. ii) Ladies 1xi Coach or Player / Coach - Our ladies first team are currently in South Div 3A achieving consistent top 3 finishes. We are looking for a dedicated Coach (match day attendance is essential) or Player/Coach to progress to the next level. iii) Men’s 1xi Senior Player / Coach - Our men’s first team, currently in MBBO Region 1, are looking for a talented and driven Player/Coach to further develop the team, help recruit and facilitate a development pathway for talented juniors to progress up the club. iv) General Coaching - we are looking for coaches of all levels and encourage applications to discuss potential opportunities.
