WOMEN'S HOCKEY

WOMEN'S HOCKEY

The women’s section at PHC Chiswick has 5 teams, from the performance end with our 1s playing in the London Premier Division, to our women’s 5s  at the development end of the club, playing in the Division 5 North. Across our teams we offer something for everyone, including high quality coaching, regular socials, and a supportive hockey community, for some of the lowest subs in London!

This year we are particularly excited to welcome two new coaches to the club, for both the women’s 1s and the women’s 4s/5s, and are looking forward to successful seasons for all our teams.

W1 - PREMIER DIVISION

The Women’s 1s are our high-performance squad, competing in the London Area Premier Division since its launch in 2021/22. With a fast-paced, skilful style of play, the team combines international talent and national league experience, delivering top-level hockey on our performance pitch at Wood Lane, just minutes from White City station. For the 2025/26 season, they welcome a new coach from Australia, bringing fresh energy and ambition as they push to climb the league. The W1s are always looking for talented, high-performance players—get in touch to get involved.

W2 - DIVISION 2 NORTH

The Women’s 2s compete in London Area Division 2, where they’ve held their place since the 2022/23 season. As a key part of the club’s performance pathway, they offer a high standard of hockey that develops talent for progression to the 1s. Known for their competitive edge, team cohesion, and strong culture, they were named Women’s Team of the Year for the 2024/25 season. With a balance of ambition and fun—on the pitch and at socials—the 2s are a tight-knit squad that plays hard, supports one another, and celebrates every step of the journey.

W3 - DIVISION 4 NORTH WEST

The Women’s 3s are a spirited, resilient squad competing in London Area Division 4, returning with renewed focus after a tough season in Division 3. A performance-driven team with a strong tactical approach and tight-knit ethos, they bring great energy to every game. Named Team of the Year for the 2023/24 season, the W3s are just as strong off the pitch—known for their high social turnout, inclusive atmosphere, and unbeatable team spirit both on match days and beyond.

W4 - DIVISION 5 NORTH WEST

The Women’s 4s are the higher of our two development teams, ideal for players returning to hockey or those looking to enjoy the game at a more social level. Competing in Division 5 North West this season, the 4s combine quality hockey with a fun, supportive atmosphere. They’re also well known across the club for their commitment off the pitch—regularly contributing through committee roles, umpiring, and supporting the junior section. With strong team spirit and a love for the game, the W4s embody everything that makes club hockey special.

W5 - DIVISION 5 NORTH WEST

The Women’s 5s are a key development team, providing a supportive entry point for juniors moving into adult hockey and those new to the sport. Competing in Division 5 North West alongside our Women’s 4s, the 5s focus on creating a positive, encouraging environment where players can learn, grow, and build confidence. With a strong sense of community and plenty of fun both on and off the pitch, they offer the perfect space for developing skills while enjoying everything team hockey has to offer.
