Welcome to the new season at PHC Chiswick!
Apologies for the delay in sending out this newsletter indicating the start of the season, but we've had a few delays in confirming some exciting news (contained in the newsletter) as well as Mitch & Liam conveniently being away on holiday at the same time! For everyone who is interesting in playing in the 1s or 2s this year, training is on tonight at 7:45. Our first games of the season are this Saturday with some inter-club matches before our pre-season friendlies start on the 7th September. New Players Can any new players please let me know whether you would be interested in playing in the 1-3s match or the 4-6s match. I will have sent you a teamer invite over the weekend, which is the system we use to sort out teams availabilities, so get signing up! Invites to the matches will be going out today or tomorrow. Regards Grant (Acting Mens Club Captain) Gentle reminder that Mens' pre-season training is at 7.45pm Tuesday (tomorrow) at Linford. Don't worry about your fitness levels at this stage - the session is tailored to individual needs and its just about getting going. We will be on the grass just past the football pitches. Look forward to seeing you there.
It's that time again. Pre-season training starts this Tuesday. As previously, we will ease in with some early circuit work and and some touch rugby. Your feedback from last year and progression of hockey has increased the need for improved fitness levels in our teams. Whilst fitness is very much your responsibility we will use the early sessions get into the swing and to set some individual and team standards and targets to monitor against. We start on the pitch on 20th August so use these sessions to be ready, lower injury risk and improve performance.
Training will start at 7.45pm on the grass at Linford, just behond the five aside football pitches. Come into the stadium, walk as if you were going to the astro but just keep walking when you get to the entrance to the 5-asides and we will be there 50m in front you. Call me if you can't see us. |
