Chiswick Ladies 1’s go top after beating Wycombe at home 21.11.2015

After coming back from a loss Chiswick 1’s was more determined to put Wycombe through their paces.  The first goal came early on from a penalty corner won by RhiBuchanan with her effortless battle against the Wycombe defence. Sarah Blackburn received the ball back from Rhi Buchanan who ran the ball on a straight line across to Tisunge Barrack who slotted the ball passed the keeper; 1-0 Chiswick.  

Second goal saw an inspirational run from Jen Romano who we all at one-point thought was going to smash it home, but in true defender style passed to Rhi Buchanan who shot on a defender stick and quickly saw Tisunge Barrack steal on the back and bang it in, second goal to the Barrack; 2-0 Chiswick.

In the dying seconds of the first half, Wycombe were awarded a penalty corner and scored, 2-1.

Second half saw experience dominate the Wycombe’s defence as Chiswick were playing some stunning hockey passing the ball effortlessly around the pitch, where there was a build-up of play on the right, where Laura Patterson played the ball beautifully into the path of Sarah Blackburn who picked it up with grace and smacked a stunning goal from the top of the D into the back of the net, Chiswick 3-1.  

The final goal came from a penalty corner and the ball was passed around the D, when Rhianna Buchanan took hold of it and shot powerfully through the Wycombe defence.  Final score 4-1 Chiswick.
