L1s finish first half of season top of the league with another win (2-1) against Eastcote L1s!

With Mary missing we needed a new captain for the game....cue Jen Romano....The Ladies 1's turned up ready for the match, with a good majority of the team being sober...and then there was Bex Smith...who knows whether she was hung over or still drunk. The game started and Chiswick Ladies 1's stormed ahead with an early goal scored by Laura Patterson.  Part way through the first half our new captain went down from a stick to the face - blood everywhere - luckily our lovely supporters were doctors/nurses and fixed her right up and she was back in the game! The game was tough, after a bit of a battle between both teams, Eastcote had a few chances to go ahead but Kylie Burnett was there to save these. However, before half time Eastcote scored the equaliser.

After a tough team talk, witnessed by the Ladies 6's, we knew what we needed to do. The second half was still as tough but after a great ball through to Bex Smith from Sarah Blackburn, Bex scored the winning goal (annoying how Bex is still amazing after a few hours sleep!)


We did it...top of the league going into Christmas! Bring on the New Year!!!
