L1s stunning 7-1 win vs Hendon L1s @ home 26.09.2015

The ladies 1's took on Henley at Acton this weekend. Chiswick started well, with some consistent possession.

The first goal came from a penalty stroke, after some great lead up play from Rhianna Buchanan resulted in her being taken out at the top of the circle. Rebecca Smith stepped up to convert. The second came from a penalty corner left lay off (just how we planned it) scored by Erin Weber. 

Half time came, with Chiswick up 2-0. After some half time discussion, with an emphasis on valuing possession and supporting the ball carrier (wise words, thanks Kylie Burnett), Chiswick headed out for the second half in a confident of continuing to dominate. 
Erin Weber continued in goal scoring mood at the start of the second half, after some great baseline play by Lisa Crane. Harriet Stevenson picked up the next two goals for Chiswick, set up by Laura Patterson and then Rhianna Buchanan. 

Henley then pulled one back, scoring after the break down of a penalty corner, where the initial shot was blocked, but follow up enabled one to get through the Chiswick defense. 
Chiswick spent 5 minutes with 10 players after Sophie Kirk was yellow carded. However, Henley also went a player down, following a similar penalty.

Chiswick finished strongly, with a goal to Tisunge Barrack, assisted by Rhianna Buchanan (being very generous this weekend) and Erin Weber completing her hat trick, having been set up by Harriet Stevenson. 
It finished 7-1 to Chiswick, a good second game of the season.
