Cold and calm day in Teddington, but it was anything but calm in the first half of the game. Both teams started at a frantic pace, and it was Chiswick who showed the early promise of taking the lead. Kate Murray playing left wing found plenty of space behind the defence to create chances on goal, the opposition goalkeeper was solid and it took a classic forward’s goal from Zoe Jupp to break the deadlock. Against the run of play Teddington almost equalised. Their speedy gonzales winger was a constant threat throughout the game, Emma Bornebroek held firm and did not allow the gonazales to get close to the D. Sarah Blackburn wrapped up the second half with a mazy run and shot from the edge of the D to go into half time leading 2-0. Focus at the start of the second half for Chiswick was possession. Make the passes. And it worked, Chiswick blew Teddington away with their constant, swashbuckling attacking prowess. Teddington players looked bewildered and anything they could muster in response was quickly shut down by the defenders Heather Robinson and Lindsey Forbes. Laura Patterson got her reward for a fine game consistently terrorising the defence, she scored number three after a weaving run. Bagging her second goal Zoe Jupp smartly dinked a first time shot over the keeper. Laura closed out the 5-0 game with a cool finish for her second. Chiswick ladies 2’s go into the new year 3rd in the league and looking in good shape for half two of the season. MOM/DOD: not decided. had to dash to team ping pong - we rocked it. Team: Lindsey Forbes, Zoe Jupp, Heather Robinson, Laura, Danni Petticrew, Tara Bryne, Emma Bornebroek, Kate Murray, Vicky Lorimer, Sarah Blackburn, Lizzy Moir, Kylie Burnett, Lili King-Harman
