The ladies 2s had gained great momentum before Christmas, having lost only once in the previous two months and thrashing Teddington ladies 3s with a 0-5 score on their last match.
They were keen to keep this trend going in Saturday's match against Winchmore Hill & Enfield Ladies 1 and didn't disappoint, winning 1-0. From the start of the game, Chiswick was in control of the ball the majority of the time. Laura Patterson had a number of great runs down the right. After 15 minutes this resulted in a powerful shot at goal that was successfully deflected by Lili King-Harman, winning her woman of the week. Though there were various other opportunities, including a number of shorts, the ladies 2's unfortunately didn't score again. Enfield managed to break through a few times, but the defence and goalkeeper Millie Lang dealt with these effectively. All in all, winning 1-0 was a sweet revenge for Chiswick ladies 2s as Enfield had narrowly beat them in their last encounter.
